You may have seen recent public announcements regarding Nissan’s manufacturing operations in South Africa. We would like to provide clarity on this development and, most importantly, to reassure you about what it means for you as a Nissan customer.
Nissan has reached an agreement with another vehicle brand relating to its production facility in Rosslyn, Pretoria. This decision supports the continuation of industrial activity at the site and enables the majority of the plant’s employees to remain employed.
Nissan has been part of the South African landscape since 1961, and today we have one of the largest dealer networks in the country.
In 2026, our dealers will introduce several exciting new models, including the new flagship Nissan Patrol and a brand-new SUV, the Nissan Tekton. We have even more exciting models planned for 2027 and beyond.
Customers who own the locally produced Nissan Navara can be assured of continued world-class service and support from their nearest Nissan dealer. There will be no changes to your service plan or warranty.
We expect the transaction to be concluded in May this year. After that, new Navara models will arrive fully built from our anchor plant.
Again, there will be no disruption to you as a customer.
Nissan remains firmly committed to South Africa and the African continent. We will continue providing world-class vehicles backed by the level of service and support you have come to expect from us.
